It was so exciting to actually finish this one. I know how many eyelets and lazy daisies there are. But, I'm not going to spoil the surprise and tell you. You just have to stitch this design if you haven't already done so. I had switched all the DMC to silks, and being that I started this 10 years ago, I think they're a pretty good match (at least it is to me). So, here he is in all his glory.

Hello Teresa,
I have done a number of your designs and plan on doing many more. I've got all 3 books with your designs as well as many of the charts.
I love your work, even though they a challenge at times.

I've asked this question on the boards but no one seems to have the answer.

I've started Angel Procession from the Xmas book. For the life of me I can't figure out what color the

no such symbol in the color chart. The closest symbol shows the color of
a dark green, which doesn't look right to me, but I could be wrong.
I'm avoiding the eyes for now, lots of other stitching to do.

Teresa, I was doing the 5th band specialty stitch - the horizontal knitting stitch in perle coton. The illustration in the Best of Sampler Collection shows the stitch going in this direction:

/////// (lower left to upper right)
\\\\\\\ (upper left to lower right)
When I stitch it this way I have a gap in the center as there's no way to finish the stitch without it overlapping. But, when I look at your stitched piece in the Sampler Collection it shows the stitch as being done in this direction:

\\\\\\\\ (upper left to lower right)
//////// (lower left to upper right)
Looking at the picture it shows the stitch being started in the middle and being worked toward the border on both the left and right sides.

I'm assuming that this is the way the stitch should be done. I checked your errata pages and did not see anything regarding this stitch. Please let me know if this correct or not.

Thank you!

It's been 2 years since I cross-stitched and I'm picking it up again. My time has been taken up by other hobbies, such as crocheting, which I'm now winding to an end. We have enough afghans. I no longer knit sweaters - just socks. In addition, I can finally spend the time to work out a cross stitching schedule to complete some of those projects I started long ago, especially the Egyptian Sampler and the Birds. I do need to buy a new holder though. My Q-snaps have hardened and one piece even snapped. So, I'm looking to replace these first. Anyway, hi all!!

Also, I'm looking at migrating my cross stitch pictures somewhere else.
