2009 Holiday Card Exchange - deadline is Nov 20

So sorry for the lateness of getting this out this year!

Welcome to the Holiday Card Exchange! Once again, I will be heading the BB Holiday Card Exchange. Instead of many separate BBs (with a large chunk of "cross over" population) trying to run separate exchanges, the admins got together and agreed to a combined list. The BBs participating are TWBB, Rotation, The Wagon, and Chatelaine. Advanced apologies for repeating this message on multiple boards.

Not sure where to post this, but I wanted to thank you all you have done for me and my fellowe stitchers over the years. You are truly a Queen in some many ways. Your designs will be missed.

Unfortunately as I am unable to respond on the News thread, I felt I had to create a new one here.

Teresa I just wanted to say that I am very sad to see that you will no longer be designing.
Your work has been a source of inspiration, motivation and delight to me, for all my years of cross stitching. You create designs that are beautiful, colourful, detailed and unique... so different from the types of designs we see...

Aunt dying of breast cancer

I changed my avatar to add the breast cancer ribbon to show support. We're hoping I'll be back in time to see her alive, but it doesn't look good. It's very strange when someone is given an expiration date for their life. Her expiration date: Mid november, but my mom said that right now she's barely taking in fluids and food, and she's in so much pain, so I don't think she's got 2 months left in her. *sigh*

I'm making those little cross stitch...

IIRC there are/were a number of people who are Gabaldon fans - especially the "Outlander" series. Well, the 7th book in the series comes out the end of September. I have my copy on order and can hardly wait to get started on it..

well, what a 1/2 year brings... in short (no violins here in fact relief)

we had a moneypit of a house that on top of it got a preditory lender who increased our payments by 500 per month, dh tried to rescue the loan with 10,000 last year and they still wouldn't work with us. (mind you we plunked about 30,000 in the last 5 years (new roof ta boot) for repairs) soo with that much more in...

 Hey all!  Welcome or welcome back to all that have joined us again!  Sorry I haven't been around much, but school, working anf the kids have been keeping
me busy!  I made the Dean's list again- yea!  That makes 2 years in a row- I am very proud of this accomplishment.




I have also finally met a guy that seems to be pretty darn sweet.  He has 2 kids, never been married, but has the ex-gf's to deal with.  Between the 2 of
us we have half a dozen(and they were all here... 


 I havn't post on here in years.....

 I've been away for a few months and was shocked to come back to what feels like an empty hallway with pieces of paper being blown around.  Was there a big
hiatus?  Did everyone move to a different bb?  I'm so confused!  Help?  Why are the boards so empty?

 My poor old Tonka Toy had to go to Car Heaven (no heat, immobilizer going, head gasket going....)




So I bought a new car, a Cobalt. It's been brutally cold here, and the darn thing was unplugged for all of 10 minutes. I went out to start it, got the
groan of a cold engine and "check engine light" comes on, command start is disabled and no bun warmers!!!!!




Turns out the 2009's seem to have some cranky sensor or something, but I had to go to the local...

 This past holiday season I went to visit my parents and while there decided to go through some of the stuff I still had there. I had the mission to look for
jeans that would fit, when I opened a box and low and behold on top was my very first cross stitch.




It was a Precious Moments Singing Telegram boy. Done on 14 count adia. I can't believe that my mom kept it. All I have to do is wash it and frame it.




It was the highlight of my visit.

 Does anyone know what really happened to the company. I had a $100 gift certificate from her given to me in May of this year. Than I realize I haven't
gotten my fabric and everyone says she is just having computer problems.  I e-mail, no response. I find her phone number; disconnected. I spent 5.00 calling
the operator to find out there is no new number.... All her sites are shut down including her ebay store. The only thing she does have left is her webshots
(snickers something).  I...

 Okay, so a lot of you won't remember me......... but maybe some of you will. Okay, so I fell off the face of the cross stitching universe, but really still
existed in real life. I will just say that life got really crazy, hairy, and insane for a long while...... years as a matter of fact, and I stopped anything
related to stitching, crafts, hobbies, etc. But, I am back. I am getting myself back to normal once again and finding that I miss so much of what I was
avoiding before. That... 


 Has anyone heard from Anu lately or seen her post?

 She had joined up for the TWCOE and is usually very prompt on replying back. But I have not heard from her and am worry. Does anyone know if she is sick? On
