			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I&#39;m stitching my first TW, the needlebook actually. I&#39;m stuck on the chain. I&#39;ve stitched 1/4 stitches where the chain overlaps but when I did
the backstitching it doesn&#39;t look right. It looks like it&#39;s missing something - a part stitch I imagine. Has anyone else done just 1/4 stitches or did
they do 3/4 and if so when? I just started on the backstitching and all the dragon is 1/4 stitches as well. I&#39;m not sure what to do.</p> ]]></description>

I had a baby daughter 2 1/2 years ago and I didn't buy a birth announcement piece because I wanted to find the right one...well, of course, that is when I came across TW's.  I am searching to buy the pattern now, but the kit is only in linen.<br>

However, I have never stitched on linen..only AIDA.  I bought a piece of linen and I keep staring at it, and I cannot work it out in my mind how you would even begin.<br>

Does anyone know of a conversion chart, or should I just go to the shop and match each color by hand?<br>

When I stitch two over two, I use the loop method and the pinstitch method, depending if I stitch with one or two different colors. I know that the loop method can work one over one (but with special care) when you stitch with one color. But when you have blended theads, it doesn't work anymore. I try to avoid reaching for the back of my work as much as I can.<br>

The main issue that I have is how to keep the stuff together. I just cant find many frames that are made deep enough to hold the stitching (I lace my work BTW), and the mat and the glass.
