Having graduated from the castle panel to the knight, I thought I'd make the rubies on his armor and the horse's eye stand out a little more by doing them as smyrna crosses rather than plain cross stitch. The extra stitches do seem to make them pop.

Converting Fantasy Triptych from UFO to WIP

Well some time around 3 or 4 years ago I last put stitches into Fantasy Triptych. I've finally dragged it back and put some new stitches in today.

Here's the link to what it looked like with around 30 hours in as I think I was in my rare timing phase when I started this one. Now however, I don't use a timer so I'll not be keeping track in the future.

Error in color in rocks on CS?

In the rocks, there is the symbol V, which is mauve. This looks wrong, so I used the symbol V with a dot inside, which is beige-gray. I didn't see this listed as an error anywhere. Have there been any discussions about it?

I have decided to redo the fantasy triptych, I want to do it again and I learnt a lot the first time. However at some point my patterns went into the garage, got damp and got munched by snails. I have salvaged the design but not the cover which happens to have the floss chart (of course). I would very much appreciate a copy of this with the legend and floss chart.

Is there a mistake on the over 1 face in the book?? Im having a huge problem doing her face over 1 (I do over one all the time), there are no mistakes in MY stitching, Ive checked it and had 2 other people check it as well. I cannot seem to get the stitches to line up correctly with the over 2 parts. Does this make sense?? LOL Im about to pull my heair out on this thing, normally I DO NOT have a problem at all. ACK!!

I've just picked this up again after a long break from large TWs! Fortunate Traveller nearly finished me off for good...

I had already completed the Knight panel but got completely bogged down in the castle and woods and then managed to lose my marked up working copy.

It has never showed up but I'm now working back on myself from one of the castle towers as a "landmark" and I will just have to hope I can work out what I've done ( and that I haven't made a giant...

What fabric?

Hi!
As I haven't yet started CS, I was wondering about what fabric could be used, as I'm still in time to change it...My current choice is a 28 Cashel linen, but did anybody try to stitch this on 32 count fabric?
I would like to try, but I fear the stitches will look too "packed", and I wouldn't want to do a lot of work to obtain a mediocre result, worse than on 28 linen...
What can you suggest me? Did anybody try to stitch this chart -or others TW!- on 32? Is the result...

TW Mondays

I brought CS out last night for TW Mondays and I managed to put two needles-worth of thread into the border. I count that as success and just in time. I received instructions today for a model I've had on hold for a couple of months.

So I will be putting a little work in on this project every Monday until I get one of the two models finished. Then I think I'll pick at least two days a week to work on this one.
