Stitched on Cream Cashel. Started 03/28/08 and finished 04/17/08. This is the largest TW I have stitched so far. I love the colors in this one.

I"ve actually put most of my knitting away. Yes, my little corner that I occupy when stitching or knitting has one lone sock sitting there. That way come Friday I'll be ready to switch and I'll pull out my stitching stand and get it set up and get Mermaid started

SA Weekend Number 1

I just spent over 4 hours getting ready!! I've pulled all my floss. Sorted it. Have all the threads for the border in baggies, marked with the symbol and floss numbers. Blends for the border are ready to go. Fabric is serged and on the q-snaps. Working copies of chart are made. I'll be putting the first stitches in tomorrow.

Is it still on and if so who's in and when do we plan to start?
I know it was mentioned in another thread that maybe the first weekend of the month could be a SAL which would make it 5/6 Jan (works for me )
I'm getting ready to start pulling floss and making a list of those I'm missing so I can go out and buy them after Jan 1st

I finished Mermaid last night (4/11/07). I started her in August 06 (I think it was the 7th but need to check).

I'm nearly there - just got her left hand (the one in the rock pool) and then her face/neck/chest to go in the over 1 bit, then just BS her hair and skin, and add the beads and gold cord. I'm aiming for an October finish, but it depends what work thows at me this week - wish me luck! I'll try and post a picture in the next couple of days...

Tradewinds - help, please

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, but not to TW designs - I love her work. I've a query about her Tradewinds design. I've started to stitch the alphabet and the colour I've got for the backstitch looks wrong. It shouldn't be, as I'm working from a kit, so I know I haven't picked up the wrong shade. Has anyone else thought this and if so, what did you do?

who's all stitching on these designs? Which one are you working on? When did you start and how much progress have you made?

I've been planning on starting Mermaid for so long now I've finally decided that January will be my start date, unless I finish all the presents I'm working on before then..

As you can see, I've almost done her hair (I actually finihsed her hair yesterday evening, after I took this photo).

I also tried a little of the over-one on her left shoulder. I also finished that area last night...

I've been a bit lazy with Mermaid for the last few weeks - I don't think I've achieved much since mid-January, because of focussing on other pieces.

I need some insipration to get back into my Mermy - is anyone else stitching her at the moment? I know Linda and Christine were both working on her in Jan and Dec resepctively!

How about a SAL? Tuesdays and Wednesdays are best for me...

Gina's right, there's been quite a bit of progress since my last photo, but not as much as I would have liked. I think work gets in the way of stitching far too much!!! I'm really pleased with how the border is coming along...

Progress report

I can't believe how long it is since I updated my progress. I took a break from Mermaid to stitch a present for my Dad's 60th (must post a picture of that!), but picked her up again about 2 weeks ago.

I finished to rocks on the right yesterday, and now I'm working on the top half of the right border. I'll try a post a piccie soon!
