OK, so I decide to bite the bullet and actually do the backstitching on my PT. The stitching has been done on it for about 4 or 5 years, but I just
couldn't face the pear leaves, so it got put away. I figure that if I can do Heaven and Earth Designs patterns (have about six of them in rotation right
now), I should d*** well out to finish PT. So anyway, I pull the poor thing out of the closet, haven't even looked at it in a couple of years, then I
think to myself, do I even still have the pattern? I look on ebay to see if there are any patterns available, just in case, and then go digging through the
file box I have my patterns in. Lo and behold, I not only still have a copy of the pattern, I have two copies, a working copy, and a copy of the
"enhanced" backstitch pattern.

Good on you to pull that one out of the closet. And I'm looking forward to see a picture of the finished piece.

I have been putting in grid lines to help with the back stitch placement. When I stitched PT, I didn't grid, but I have since taken up doing Heaven and
Earth Designs BAP's, and without gridding, they would be completely impossible for me....anyway, I think that the gridding is really going to help with the
pear leaves. When I am finished with that, my plan of attack is going to be that I work on the backstitching a little bit every day. I am thinking half an hour
to an hour at a time, but we will see how it goes. I should be ready to start sometime later today, and I will post progress pictures every couple of days. Who
knows, maybe it will go faster than I am expecting.

You can do it! You have a great plan and it will go faster than expected. Just remember how fabulous it looks when all the backstitching is done and that will
help keep you going.

Now I remember why I backstitch as I go. I remember getting to the end of Peaceable Kingdom. I had been backstitching as I went, but I still had alot to go. It
took forever. Moira conned me into completing the piece and starting a rotation. I am a dedicated rotator now. It keeps me interested.

Anyone have a pattern I can buy from you? | #10 | ||

Hi! I am very interested in doing the Peacock Tapestry next. The pattern is discontinued and I just missed two on ebay. Does anyone have one I can buy or trade
for one or more carousel horses (I have all but Spring). Thanks so much!
