Posts: 6 03/23/09 16:15:32	Tags : new, update, castle, progress Hello, I have been lurking for a long time. I bought the chart, fabric and flosses 2 years ago and never started until few months ago. I just started The Castle on Jan. 28, 2009. Only thing I hate is Kreinik blending filament. It took me 2 hours today to ripped out Kreinik blends. I am gonna switch to Petite Treasure Braid. I am using Lalita's blue dragon conversion. This was at 8 hours. This was at 30 hours This was at 43 hours. This was at 62 hours. This is at 80 Hours Close up of 80 Hours This is at 100 Hours This is at 120 Hours This is another picture of 120 Hours This is at 130 Hours. Thank you for looking. Posts: 7 03/24/09 12:07:58	Hello, There is Blue dragon that is finished if you guys want to to take a look at it. Here is the website: http://www.geocities.com/...yxstitch/CastleInfo.html and look under Lalita (n2stitch). I am not using Kreinik Blending Filament. I am switching to Petite Treasure Braid because I got frustrated with Kreinik. By the way, this is my first time using Hand Dye Fabric since I always use Aida fabric. I was not sure if I could do 28 count fabric since the hole was tiny. I think I am doing okay with it and it is easy to do fraction on it than Aida. I will try to keep it post. Tracy

Posts: 214 04/03/09 12:53:35	Stitching confetti (lots of random stitches, lots of color changes) takes a lot more time than stitching bigger blocks of color. Your progress may feel slow, but it is the piece, not your stitching. When I stitched this one, it felt like I was making no progress at all, but then, all of the sudden (yeah, after about a year, maybe) I was done. Your stitching is beautiful, and your castle is going to be wonderful when it is finished. Don't give up hope, it will happen. I recall feeling like I was stitching the rocks forever and that was over 15 years ago now, and I can still remember how slow they felt. Of course since I've stitched the Castle, I have stitched pieces that make the Castle seem really easy to stitch. Yes I'm looking at you Pegasus. However, with perseverance you will finish. And he'll be amazing when you're done. Heck, he's amazing already, and he doesn't even have a face yet. You are making great progress. Jen From SF Bay Area, CA

I think I started it about 6 or 7 years ago, but have only stitched a few hours on it, whenever I had time.
