No updates from me either. My Flower Power has been tucked away in a box under my bed where I can't hear it screaming for attention. I really should get it
out and work on it.

Nothing new from me, either. I haven't had the ambition to pull out FP due to the size of the fabric. Plus, working full time again just doesn't give
me as much time as I'd like to work on it. Someday soon, I hope!

I've never posted to this thread, but I've had Flower Power going for a number of years. I haven't worked on it for a long, long time, but I've
been thinking about it again (a good sign!) So maybe I'll pull it out soon- it's such an enjoyable stitch!

J, I'm stitching mine from left to right and I'm stuck in the middle now. I've set mine aside for a while, but I was working on finishing up the
daisies and daylilies before continuing on with the flowers to the right. Also, I've only stitched a couple of the hummingbirds. So I have to go back and
do the rest of the birds, etc.
Good thing I enjoy stitching this one because it's still going to take a long time to finish it! Amy |

I stitch this one in sections (meaning by bird/insect/plant) and started in the center. I finished the hummingbird, then finished most of the part of daylily
that's not mixed with the daisies. Finished the butterfly and this is when finishing sections broke down
 I've stitched some daisies, some other
plants, and started the ladybug. But I do plan on backstitching when I finish xs a plant/critter so I can say I completed it 
btw I normally backstitching an entire piece at the end. Makes for a long series of sessions in backstitching (Celestial Dragon took me about 6 months of bs'ing/lattice work)

Do you have any suggestions on the colours , metalic or bf that can be used on the birds , butterflies etc. I also have seen comments that the birds etc are
completed 1 over 1, a previous message(long time ago) there was a mention that someone had charted the birds 1 over 1, where do i find that chart and is it
freely available. Any suggestions or tips is very appreciated. Thanks. j

I'm using the metallics listed on the chart. As for the over 1 birds... I think ErinMI said that someone on Yahoo chat group charted them. I'm not sure
how often she's checking this bb right now, but you might message her and ask about it.

Amy, I have thought about going back later to stitch the birds, not sure what to do??
What are you stitching now?? Ripplemis,your kitten/ cats are beautiful . I am 3/4 way finishing Tw tapestry cat, very pretty design I probably sound silly but how do I send Erin a yuku message, as well as how do I go onto the wagon bb, I can't seem to find how to . What cross stitch sites do you go to for new projects, saw you have heavenly cats and I have never seen that. Thanks for all your help everyone.  They just had a checkup/vaccination on Thursday - Maia (black kitten, now about 10 weeks old) weighs 2.88 lbs, Alex (the adult cat) weighs
11.5 lbs - and Maia still pounces on Alex in play then runs away when he pins her too long They are so much fun - which is part of the reason I'm not stitching much

To send a message, click on the "Interact" button you see when you open a thread (find Erin's post and click on Interact next to her post). You'll see an option that says "Message Me" - click on that and it'll take you to a message window. Heavenly Cats is actually a counted canvas work. I found the chart at my LNS. For xs stuff, I browse Hoffman (it's a distributor not a retailer) or more often see new things on various xs bb's

Hey guys, sorry I've been away so long. It seems the quilting bug has bitten again and I just don't get here as often when I'm working on my
quilts.
J - regarding your question about the over one birds. I got a set of charts from a Flower Power yahoo group I belonged to way back when (sometime around 2001). A member of that group took the time to rechart the birds and recreated the charts in excel, then graciously posted them to the yahoo group for anyone to download for free. Let me take a look and see if I can get you a link to the actual group. Link . It was one of the 2 groups shown in the link above. I can't remember which one, and since I'm no longer a member and these both require membership to see their files, I can't tell you which one it is. I'd suggest you request membership to both of them and see which one has the charts in their File section. Sorry I can't help more.... If this just doesn't work for you, since they are free charts, I could photocopy them and mail them to you, let me know. My Flower Power is languishing in his bag under my table - the quilts are just ruling my stitching life right now!

J, I've left the birds and such for times when I feel like working on another part of the design. Also, I like having the flowers in place and that's
why I tend to stitch the flowers first. I'm currently in a bit of a stitching slump and haven't gotten any stitching done for days. I started the
Little Wheels Birth Announcement this month and it's an easy, but boring stitch. I hope to get back to it today (and finish it soon!) I've also got a
bunch of other WIPs (see link for pics) from which to choose. I've just got to find my stitching mojo again!

We used to have two Burmese cats that had lovely natures , they were very playful as well as very affectionate.
I have seen a new chart called Kitty kitty which is made into a pillow but they have framed it as well, think it is a Jca chart, very cute. Well back to fp, thanks for all your help.when I look at all your photos I wish I was that far, all your work is beautiful. Erin, I have looked at that site and it does need membership, I have also seen that there doesn't seem to be much activity.I will try and join and see what happens. Thanks again to you all for your help, if I can't find chart I will let you know. I have just had a thought, all your fp are sleeping waiting for me to catch up to you:-))) be a long while yet, still just finishing 2 nd lily. J |

This poor bee took me over a year to complete (legs will be stitched at the end).... mainly because I didn't work on FP for that long

I think i have stitched half a lily petal since my last message, just never enough time. R seeing you stitching FP again is giving me inspiration. I think i will stitch a little tonight.
