Posts: 1497 05/19/08 03:27:29	Tags : None About two years ago a local mag in Aust. bought out a gorgeous pattern for a crochet rug. Anyway, I priced it at the time, and it was going to cost $600 to crochet, which I thought was over the top. A girlfriend gave me some cheaper alternatives for buying the wool, (the mag cited the most expensive shop in Aust. to buy the wool) but I thought I would ask where everyone gets their wool, and if they take online orders. I just can't get this rug out of my head! (I sometimes use this as a criteria for seeing if I really want something, and I think I now qualify!) TIA Rowena (My daughter wants me to use some faces!)

Posts: 959 05/19/08 08:43:24 Moderator	It would mean international shipping costs, but a couple of places that might be useful (that ship internationally) are WEBS and Elann. Webs has lots of discounted and mill end yarns at good prices, plus their own line (Valley Yarns), and offers discounts over a certain amount (which isn't that high). We have to do another chat soon, see how everyone is! It was a pattern from a Better Homes and Gardens, I will keep in mind you want a picture, and don't guarantee it any time soon....you know what I am like! It was done in browns, neutrals, taupes, and with mohair, golds and lots of different textures. I'll see what I can do about a picture. I have a scanner now so I really don't have any excuse, but the mag is packed away somewhere! Rowena
