Posts: 203 07/07/09 06:43:29	Tags : None I'm just about to start Fortunate Traveler. I've got my threads pre blended on Lorann project cards, for all 100 symbols! I've got my chart photocopied to stitch from (can't practically use the Best Of book to stitch from directly). I've got my stand and frame set up, and my fabric just arrived today - antique white 27ct Linda. It's soaking in the bath and will be ironed to get the fold marks out before going on the frame. Can't wait to get started! Any hints and tips before I dive in? Posts: 545 07/10/09 22:18:39	Enjoy. The only thing I do is very quickly do some quasi gridding (if I haven't gridded my fabric). I stitch out to the border from the centre of the fabric (following whichever part of the pattern I can) and then stitch the extreme border crossing every 10th stitch to ensure I have large enough fabric. Crossin every 10th stitch is quite quick. So for Fortunate Traveler I'd probably stitch some of the dragon picture border then continue out through the vine trellis to get to the extreme border. Because I like to be able to jump from section to section on a TW (because otherwise it can be too overwhelming and in the case of FT all the over one lettering and trellis would really bug me) I would stitch all the borders first so that I could jump around as the mood suited me.
