Posts: 84 11/17/09 13:06:55 Legend Slayer	Tags : None Remove this ad As I'm sure we all probably know, the Legends and Sewing the Seeds designs were a collaboration between Teresa Wentzler, Jennifer Aikman-Smith (Dragon Dreams) and Karen Weaver (Black Swan). With Teresa's announcement of her retirement from needlework designing, all three of these talented and well loved designers are no longer actively designing. (Yes, Jennifer still designs occasionally, but she announced her retirement plans last year.) I thought that it might be nice to honour these ladies by having a stitch along of one of their joint designs. The choices are Legend of the Spellcasters, Legend of the the Dragons or Sewing the Seeds of Friendship, Hope and Love. Of these three designs, only Sewing the Seeds is still avaliable from Hoffman (as Sewing Seeds Sampler, item #05-2126), which might make it the best choice. However, I'd love to know what everyone thinks. I'm aiming to start the SAL on January 1st, and to run it all year. Please feel free to comment. Let me know what design you'd most be interested in stitching, timelines, etc. I really hope we can all stitch along and honour these talented ladies. a.k.a. Posts: 23 11/18/09 11:45:28	I just did a google search for "cross stitch, 'Legends of the Dragons'" and got several hits for needlework stores with that chart for sale. Some also had Legends of the Spellcasters. So the chart is still available without too much difficulty. No idea how many copies, though.

It would look great if I framed it and hung it with the two prints that Teresa gave me a while back. The trick will be waiting until January... :-) I'm going to have to go dig out the pattern now and rummage through the fabric stash..... I'm leaning towards Sewing the Seeds because it is less intricate and I can probably work on it a little when my little guy is awake because of that.
