This is a link to my Webshots page and my progress as of February 20, 2012. http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2075738490062217403jYxMXE If you go to my page http://community.webshots.com/user/arliss106, then the needlework album, and then page 4 of that album, you'll get a good idea of my progress since a couple of days after I started working on this again last September. The gridding was added in September so I could track down the missing stitches in the first three sections - before that third column.
I actually started this project about September 1996, but I lost the chart and had a really tough time getting a new one; this was about the time JCS was selling its Symbol of Excellence division to Leisure Arts. I was able to replace the chart some time later, but I had already moved on to other projects, and I didn't get the leaflet together with the started project and threads for probably a couple of years. There were so many other projects I worked on over the years, but I finally put everything for EGS together a couple of years ago and actually kept it in my "stitching nest." Last September, I pulled it out and started working on it again. Although some marathon stitching sessions led to painful tendonitis, except for doctor-mandated breaks, I have been working exclusively on EGS since the end of November. If I notice even slight pain in my hand and fingers, I immediately take a break and may not get back to the project until the next day - or even several days later.
About a week ago, I decided this would be finished in about two weeks. Well, no, that's not going to happen, as I still have all those beads to add once I get all the back stitching, white work, etc., finished. So I'm now thinking it could likely be finished in "less than a month." It will go to the framer as soon as it's washed and pressed.
