I did this piece a while back. It was a fun stitch, not completely filled in so it went faster than a normal TW.

This is my first time trying to take part in a discussion on line. Hope I am doing it right. I use dto do a fair amount of cross stitch etc. but haven't
done any for a few years. I am about to start the Egyptian Sampler. Does anyone have any advice?

Welcome! Egyptian Sampler is a great piece. The first thing I generally do is check to see if there are any corrections. There are some listed in a sticky in
the "Historical" forum below. Definitely check them out. Have you done pieces with blends and fractionals before? If not, you can check Teresa's
tips on her website before you get started. They might help you get prepared.

Thank you, I haven't done fractionals before. I will check out the areas you suggest.

Have you stitched on an evenweave before? If not it may be a little daunting at first, but trust me it's worth the effort for stitching fractionals. Just
remember to count a lot and you'll be fine. I feel that fractionals aren't inherently difficult, just more time consuming. However, they really make a
piece much more beautiful.

I am beginning to see what you mean. I was counting stitches in my sleep last night!
