I am 37 and I have been cross-stitching since I was about 6 or 7. I had a baby daughter 2 1/2 years ago and I didn't buy a birth announcement piece because I wanted to find the right one...well, of course, that is when I came across TW's. I am searching to buy the pattern now, but the kit is only in linen.
However, I have never stitched on linen..only AIDA. I bought a piece of linen and I keep staring at it, and I cannot work it out in my mind how you would even begin.
The only theory I have come up with, is that the linen seemed to have these ultra-tiny squares, and it almost seemed like you would just "combine" squares of either 4 or 8 to start stitching?
Would this piece look terrible if I did it in AIDA?
Any help would be appreciated.
