Following are the suggested guidelines for graphics and signatures on the TWBB. Graphics file and pixel sizing refers ONLY to personal graphics and not Happy Dance or thread specific pics (backyard wildlife, fun pictures, etc), emoticons or other Ezboard supplied graphics.
*Note: Guidelines will go into effect May 1, 2004.
Personal icon - 30 x 30 pixels This is the small graphic to the right of your username. Update in your Account Preferences in My Control Center.
Personal photo - 60 x 60 pixels This is the graphic underneath your username. Ezboard will "shrink" any graphic larger than 60 x 60 to fit. Update in your "Edit Profile" section in My Control Center
Suggested file size for the individual graphics is under 10KB. Total personal graphics use in any *single* post should be less than 20KB combined. To easily find the size of a graphic, right click the picture (either in a post or the individual file) and choose "Properties" to see pixel size and file size. Most often file size is expressed in "bytes." Drop the last 3 digits to get the number of KiloBytes (KB).
Signature Height - 150 pixels Below is a sample of how tall 150 pixels truly is: roughly equivalent to 8-12 lines of text, depending on font size.
A couple other suggestions:
If your signature is longer than your post (and especially if it includes a graphic), please consider unchecking the box to include it.
If you post multiple times to a single thread, please turn off the signature on subsequent posts.
