Hi everybody,

I'm putting this here, since Tropical Dream doesn't yet have a "home" in the Stitch Along forums... (and I'll be adding the correction to the errors page and to the description page for the design...)

I goofed in the materials list...

The Kreinik Ombre number should be 3200 (pearl) instead of 032 (which is the number for the other pearl threads of various weights). :rolleyes

Sorry for the confusion this may have caused!

One more update: concerning the freebie design Tropical Daydream. There was a missing symbol in the color code. If you downloaded your pattern before 9/7/05 at about 2:00 PM (EST), the "black diamond" symbol is missing from the code. It should be DMC 161/3041. The pdf file has been corrected, and the symbol added. My apologies for the error!

Wow! I thought we had seen the last NEW TW design! Yay!

I'm thinking about adapting it to stitch the serenity prayer (the short version) into this.......

What luck for me Teresa! I knew what you meant because I have used Ombre for making Christmas ornaments (waffle stitch with the variegated ones that really change colors look fabulous by the way) and I knew what number you meant 'cause I've already got in my stash.

Now just to get the rest at CATS next week. hehehe

I think there will be a lot of people shopping at CATS for the supplies for Tropical Dream Terry!

I came to this thread late (having been out of town) so can anyone tell me if Tropical Dream and the freebie companion Daydream use the same specialty fibers? I'd like to get supplies for both when I get the chartpack for TD. I'd expect that they would, but mostly I want to know if one skein of the specialty fibers would work for both, or if I should get two...the DMC and beads I'm not worried about as they are easy to come by.

I got my chart, beads and the Dinky Dyes at CATS-Nashville, and also picked some fabric from the Picture This Plus booth! It's a 25 ct Dublin linen called Moonglow. I'll have to go to the LNS to get the rest of the fibers, and adjust them to the slightly smaller count, but it's now in the pile with the rest of the Stitch Me Next! stuff, fighting over who gets to go first!

Another correction:

The beads for the knotted cluster drawn thread band are the 3051s. It's not listed in the directions....I had to check the chart photo.

There's also a missing symbol in the sunset scene, just above the island on the left. I made it a |.
