Posts: 1278 09/26/08 18:48:40	Rebekah - of course it's worth showing! Looks great! Catherine - I don't keep track of hours and I'm nowhere near done. And as you can see from my ticker, my Flower Power is over 5 years old now (although I didn't work on it for 3 years after I stitched one hummingbird). The top part of Daylilies (the part not mixed with the Daisies) took me a little over a year to finish, but I worked on other projects too. Not to discourage you from starting, but I think 2 years is a very tight deadline. Doable (and your sister will love it), but you probably won't be stitching on anything else during the 2 years. misako/ripplemis my Album or Album2

Now, I don't track hours, but at that time, I was averaging 3 hours a night on weeknights and 8 hours a day on the weekends....there are a lot of hours in this, and I don't think I'm even at the half-way point yet. Also, I haven't touched it since May....it's so large that you kind of need breaks away from it, if you're not used to doing one piece at a time. I hope I'm not discouraging you away from it, but I agree with mis....2 years seems pretty tight to me, too. Posts: 850 09/28/08 21:06:47	Welcome J! I love q-snaps, as you can get any size working window you want - and change that size whenever you feel like it. To corral the extra fabric, I fold the extra on itself toward the q-snpas, then I got a package of shower curtain rings (the cheap plastic ones) and slip them over the folded fabric and qsnaps. They work like a charm! The fabric I'm using is from Enchanted Fabrics. It's Summer Glade Painted 28ct Monaco. Posts: 858 10/09/08 10:13:35	Hi J - I'm using the 11 X 11 snaps and finding they're working out fine. I think the 8 X 8 should work, too, you'll just be moving your snaps more often than I am. Posts: 5016 10/09/08 19:20:56 Cheering 'gneer	First off I'm not stitching Flower Power, however, I started with 8x8 Q-Snaps. Eventually I picked up a set of 11x11. I found that was too big, however, 8x11 is perfect. It's just a touch bigger than 8x8, but not too big or heavy for me. I have stitched large pieces, not as large as Flower Power, but I have dealt with rolling up the excess and using a binder clip to hold the fabric. So that's my $.02 for you. Yes I still lurk. I do love all the updates when anybody posts them. I do enjoy lurking in this thread. Jen From SF Bay Area, CA

Also where do I get stitch magnets, I don't live in USA but if you know where I can get them that they can be sent to me.it is getting closer to starting
